Safe driving is what we teach, SINCE 1953.

New Drivers

This training program helps ensure that new drivers are aware of and able to apply safe driving techniques throughout their lives. They learn Arkansas traffic laws, how to be defensive drivers and how to anticipate and avoid hazards.

Professional Fleet

Our fleet driving training program is designed to protect your most important asset: your employees as well as the vehicles they drive. Large fleet operators as well as owners of smaller numbers of vehicles benefit from our training program tailored to meet our clients’ specific needs and situations.

Court Ordered

All Court Ordered Defensive Driving Classes are offered on Saturdays 8:00am – 3:00pm. Please bring your driver’s license or state-issued ID, cash or money order, and any paperwork received by the Court.

a word from brock thompson

“Why would I not…?”

Learning to drive is an exciting rite of passage for every teenager. However, motor vehicle crashes account for 33% of deaths between the ages of 13-19. Even a minor accident can cause serious damage, both to the car and the people inside. We are committed to reducing that grim statistic by equipping new drivers with the skills they need to be safe on the road.

TEACHING ARKANSANS TO DRIVE SINCE 1953

Generations of Good Drivers

“She fits the common stereotype of a teacher probably as little as anyone. This may be partly because she is also a business woman,” wrote the Pine Bluff Commercial in 1965.  The passage describes our co-founder Cleo Thompson, among the first female driving instructors in Arkansas. With her husband T.J., Cleo began Thompson Driving School in Benton in 1953. Over the decades, we’ve gone through many company names, but there has always been a Thompson at the wheel. Today, Brock and Niki Thompson continue the tradition of excellence started generations ago.
